Say Hello to the iPhone 5

Published on September th, 2012

The iPhone 5 was just made official by Apple today and it features a 4inch screen with a resolution of 1136 x 640. The screen is now taller/thinner to fit a 16:9 aspect ratio. The design of the shiny new iPhone is glass on the front (as always) but returning to an aluminium-backed form factor. It’ll come right out of the box with iOS 6 and all of the standard Apple apps have been updated to take advantage of the larger screen real-estate. The screen itself is more “vibrant”. The iPhone 5 is the first iPhone to come equipped with some kind of 4G, in this case, LTE. The iPhone 5 is also outfitted with the new A6 processor that’s now twice as fast as their latest A5 chip. It’ll also be packing a larger battery, and in turn, better battery life. The iPhone 5’s camera is an 8megapixel shooter capable of 1080p video capture, complete with super low-light capabilities. The connector has opted to ditch the 30 pin design and instead upgrade to a smaller, faster 8 pin design. It’ll be available on September 21st, and retail for the same price as the current iPhone 4s (which will drop to $100 when the iPhone 5 is released) at $200 for the 16GB model.
